Do you know anything about Australian Aboriginal people & that many of them look up to African American people as role models?

Do you want to be involved in a shout out to down under; an arts project interviewing & photographing African American people, to send positive stories & messages to young Aboriginal people in Australia?

Australian artist, Tania Ferrier, will be interviewing & photographing participants in the project titled, “Talk Black USA” (C. 2012) between February & April, 2012, & working with Yulissa Morales & Mirla Jackson in New York. This project will be exhibited in Australia, with an emphasis on inviting Aboriginal people, & their communities, to hear the stories & messages from the USA.

All Australians hear & see African American culture through rap music & movies.

This project is designed to hear from everyday people, as well as the stars, & to give a platform for their stories in Australia. Whatever these may be, they will be powerful messages of courage & endurance from people they greatly admire.

Best Show of 2011. Hands Down. For such a great cause too. That didn’t stop fist from flying but glad they did or I would’ve never met you. Alysha was the envy of the entire audience as Karen O fresh on stage jumped right on her and gave her the biggest hug ever!! She took a liking to her and I was lucky to be standing next to her and get some lovin’ too. This show was at Radio City all the way in the back, this time we were front row were we always find ourselves…It was full circle for Alysha and I since almost two years ago we met a YYY’s show we had both wandered to on our own. We’ve been in love ever since. They were everything you dream of them being. Can’t wait for a new record.
